Prisoner found dead in cell
A prisoner at Neumünster Prison was found lifeless in his cell on Saturday. This was announced by the prison warden in the morning. The deceased was a 40-year-old who had been in prison since September 2022 for gang fraud, among other things. The prison did not want to make a statement on the cause of death on Saturday. The man had been alone in his cell.
The prison authorities immediately activated emergency protocols following the prisoner's suspicious death. Due to the nature of the situation, the prison was put on high alert, as emergencies in prisons can be complex and require swift action.
