- Principal suspect apprehended following a violent property theft incident

Due to a major burglary in Kiel, a 24-year-old suspect is now under arrest in Berlin. He's being eyed as the key player in a gang accused of swiping a 27-year-old guy's cash, phone, and rental car in Kiel's Schleswig-Holstein state capital back in May, as per Kiel police reports. He's got an appointment with the judge soon.

Last week, five individuals, including three males and a female ranging from 19 to 28 years old, were nabbed in Berlin for this case. Prior to their capture, their houses were ransacked.

Four of the six suspects were apprehended on the spot. The authorities seized several phones, two firearms loaded with bullets, and various drugs during their operation. Once they wrapped up, the four were set free.

The 27-year-old got duped

Based on current research, the 27-year-old had driven to Kiel in a rental car to connect with a woman he met online. He also had a significant sum of money with him. As he waited at a prearranged spot for his online friend, a man brandishing a gun threatened him.

Meanwhile, four other individuals approached and stole his waistbag containing the cash, phone, and rental car keys. They then took the 27-year-old to a secluded dirt road near Kiel and physically assaulted him.

Subsequently, they coerced the man, using the gun, to perform humiliating acts and recorded them. The group then demanded a seven-figure sum within 48 hours and scrammed with the rental car. The car was discovered in a parking lot a few days after the crime.

The five individuals apprehended in Berlin were found to possess two firearms during their operation. The burglary suspect in Berlin was reportedly part of the gang that used firearms during the robbery.
