"Reichsbürger" trial - Prince Reuß continues to testify before the Higher Regional Court

In the process regarding the "Reichsbürger" Group around Prince Heinrich XIII. Prinz Reuß, the accused prince has made statements about relationships within his extended family. "Basically, the family has always stayed together until now," he stated during an interrogation about his personal relationships before the Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt. However, there was a conflict with his eldest brother, as he had not been appointed, against expectations, to take care of the restitutions of the old family estate owners. Specifically, it was about regaining land, real estate, or even art objects in the new federal states after reunification.

Instead, the accused was supposed to take charge. Reuß found it hard to refuse this assignment. His motivation for the efforts to restore the family inheritance stemmed from a promise made to his father. From childhood, the lost family property had simply been a part of family life for us children. "For us children, it was always there emotionally." Economically, the decades-long efforts with the help of large law firms had not been calculated, and it had become a "horror story."

In the interrogations, it is currently not about the accusation points. The accused are first supposed to express themselves about their personal relationships, their biographies, and their financial and family situations.

In Frankfurt, nine defendants are accused of being members of a terrorist organization or of supporting it. It is alleged that a armed coup was planned. The defendants are reported to have knowingly put lives at risk, according to the indictment. Until the verdict, the defendants are assumed to be innocent. In addition to two further proceedings in Munich and Stuttgart, a total of 26 alleged conspirators must answer for their actions in this complex.

  1. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings against him, Prince Heinrich XIII. Prinz Reuss shared insights about the dynamics within his extended family during an interview before the Higher Regional Court Frankfurt in Hesse.
  2. The conflict between the accused prince and his eldest brother stemmed from the fact that he was not appointed, as expected, to manage the restitutions of the old family estate owners' properties in the new federal states following reunification.
  3. The Higher Regional Court Frankfurt am Main is currently examining the 'Reichsbürger' Group surrounding Prince Heinrich XIII. Prinz Reuss, with a focus on his personal relationships and background.
  4. The extended family's unity had been maintained until then, according to the prince's statements, but objections arose due to the conflict over the family estate's restoration endeavors.
  5. The Higher Regional Court Frankfurt is not solely concerned with the accusation points in the 'Reichsbürger' Group case; rather, they wish to understand the defendants' personal relationships, biographies, and financial and family situations.
  6. Concurrently in Frankfurt, nine individuals are accused of being involved in or supporting a terrorist organization, allegedly planning an armed coup. All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
  7. In Hesse, the Higher Regional Court Frankfurt is handling one of several related cases against 26 alleged conspirators linked to extremist activities within this complex legal matter.
