Advocating for the SPD party comrades - Prime Minister Stefan Weil strengthens the backing of Scholz (in this context, implies supporting or standing firm behind Chancellor Olaf Scholz)

In an interview with RTL/ntv, Stephan Weil, the head of government in Lower Saxony, voiced his support for Chancellor Olaf Scholz's potential re-run for Chancellor. "The SPD will be putting Scholz forward as their candidate for Chancellor in the upcoming federal election," Weil declared. He commented on Scholz's performance at a beer tent, an unexpected setting for him, saying, "Scholz showed remarkable confidence and set the right priorities, even in such an informal setting." Weil expressed his confidence in this decision.

At the Stoppelmarkt folk festival in Vechta, Lower Saxony, on Monday, Scholz admitted that he felt more anxious delivering this speech than he had at the UN General Assembly. He lightened the mood with some self-deprecating humor.

During the interview, Weil, the SPD state leader, acknowledged the need for improvement in the federal government's cooperation. "The traffic light coalition needs to revamp its presentation and collaboration if it wants to win over the voters," Weil stated. "It all boils down to that." As a united front, they must work effectively together to earn a good grade. "If they manage to do so, then the traffic light coalition has a chance. If not, it will be a challenging task."

The Federal Government, led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz, could benefit from the traffic light coalition improving its presentation and collaboration, as suggested by Weil, the head of government in Lower Saxony. This revamp is crucial for winning over voters and earning a good grade for the coalition, according to Weil.
