Ex-Hertha forward Marko Pantelic plans to revitalize his past team's glory as vice-president. In an interview with 'Bild', the 45-year-old shared, "I know the recipe for lasting achievement.", His aim is to see Hertha BSC back in the Bundesliga, where he believes the team truly belongs. Pantelic has been proposed as the vice-president and an ordinary board member of Hertha BSC. The elections will take place at the members' meeting on November 17.
Pantelic has previously gained administrative experience, serving as vice-president and interim president of his local association. Since 2019, he has been a part of the Football Committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), responsible for shaping football across Europe. He has developed a vast network of ex-teammates, coaches, managers, scouts, and administrators, which he mentioned he can utilize if needed.
"This network can be harnessed, if necessary, to create new partnerships and drive projects at Hertha", Pantelic shared. Having been a part of the club for years, he expresses his desire to continue the path they're on. His primary focus is to contribute to his cherished club using his sports knowledge to the fullest extent, highlighted the former goal-scorer.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has recognized Pantelic's administrative skills by appointing him as a member of their Football Committee since 2019.
