The player, who is 24 years old and will turn 25 before the competition starts, shared her excitement about the event, saying, "This tournament feels like one of the top-tier events for many reasons. Other big-name players joining the event include Marketa Vondrousova, the Wimbledon champion, Angelique Kerber, tournament ambassador, former US Open winner Victoria Azarenka, and Caroline Wozniacki, the former world number one. Andreescu will be given a wildcard entry directly into the qualifying round, as per the tournament's organizers.
