Polestar Welcomes New Chief Executive Officer

Luxury electric vehicle manufacture Polestar has declared that Michael Lowschaller will assume the CEO role beginning October 1st. The Swedish-Chinese company boasted about Lowschaller's "abundant experience in the automotive industry" for the position. He previously held CEO positions at Opel, Vietnamese automaker Vinfast, and US truckmaker Nikola. Polestar's current CEO, Thomas Ingolath, who has led the brand since its inception six years back, will be stepping down.

Lowschaller showed enthusiasm about joining Polestar during such an "invigorating phase in the company's timeline." He praised Polestar for carving out a niche as "one of the most tantalizing and innovative brands in the electric vehicle industry." He's eager to expedite this growth alongside the team.

Ingolath expressed gratitude towards Polestar's employees for their backing in establishing the brand. He wished Lowschaller "wishing him all the best for Polestar's upcoming adventures."

Polestar, a subsidiary of Chinese Geely and Swedish Volvo, was established in 2017 and targets the luxury market, offering its vehicles in 27 countries globally.

Lowschaller will lead Polestar in its fleet of luxury electric cars from October 1st. He mentioned his excitement about joining a company that has gained recognition as one of the most innovative brands in the electric vehicle industry, producing notable cars like the Polestar 2 and Polestar 1.
