Presentation of measures against ATM blasts
Interior Minister Michael Ebling (SPD), together with the Savings Banks Association and the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), will today present measures to combat the increasing number of ATMs being blown up. At the meeting in Worms, a coloring system will also be demonstrated to make the potential loot unusable for criminals. This system is regarded as an important preventative measure to stop crime. In Worms, the LKA will also present the latest figures on ATM break-ins in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The rising frequency of ATM explosions is a significant concern for banks, as highlighted by the Interior Minister's presentation. Despite the demonstration of a coloring system to render potential loot worthless, criminal activities against banks continue to pose a threat.
