Reality show - Premiere for "Real Housewives of Munich"

Bling-Bling and Bussi-Bussi: The successful show "The Real Housewives" gets a German spin-off in Munich. "The Real Housewives of Munich" had its world premiere in the Bavarian state capital on a Thursday evening. The series tells the story of six wealthy Munich women and shows what they choose to reveal from their luxurious lives. The main themes are the clichés of Munich's Bussi-Bussi society: short trips to St. Moritz, Botox, breast enhancements, shopping tours on the Maximilianstraße, champagne parties, and a little mischief. A notable quote: "Money doesn't get discussed in Munich - it's given."

Shopping at Käfer, Shopping on the Maximilianstraße

The show is set to start on RTL+ on July 6. The global reality hit is finally coming to Germany, the broadcaster announced prior to the premiere. Six episodes are planned, each focusing on different events. In the first episodes, there will be shopping at Käfer, dining at a Munich Nobel Asian restaurant, or a diamond party at one of the women's homes. Money is not an issue.

The series aims to provide an exclusive look into the lives of Munich's most glamorous High Society women, according to the RTL press release. "Glamour, fashion, and great luxury are in focus - the lives of the extravagant protagonists are never boring." All of them - between 31 and 46 years old - are described as "charismatic, extroverted, and entertaining - and of course extremely wealthy."

Carina, Lili, Seher, Natalie, Pegah, and Joana

The six women at the center of the Munich reality show are Carina (33), the mother and businesswoman; Lili (38), the former business consultant; Seher (38) and Natalie (37), real estate experts; Pegah (31), a performance worker; and Joana (46), a designer. The six ladies hinted at some difficulties during filming between them during the premiere: "There has to be a little bit of conflict," said Natalie. And although the women emphasized "We understand each other very well," only five of them were ready to commit to a potential second season. Joana remained more reserved on stage. We'll have to wait and see how things develop.

Even Duchess Meghan spoke about the format

Since the debut of the first edition of "The Real Housewives" in Orange County, USA, nearly 20 years ago, according to RTL, there have been over 28 adaptations in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa. A particularly successful variant, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has already completed its 13th season. Some of these seasons featured Yolanda Hadid, the mother of model sisters Bella and Gigi.

Even Duchess Meghan has commented on the format before, turning down an offer from the show's producer, Andy Cohen, in her podcast.

Before the Munich edition's premiere, the series is scheduled to have its premiere in a Munich cinema on June 27.
