Potsdam Natural History Museum opens renovated aquarium
The Potsdam Natural History Museum is opening the aquarium on Thursday after a two-year renovation break. "The new area is not only aimed at families, but also specifically at teachers, who can now experience the biology of fish and the ecology of water bodies much more vividly with their groups," said museum educator Larissa Goebel on Wednesday. According to the museum management, the wishes of visitors were taken into account when designing the tanks and the fish are now housed in tanks designed to be close to their habitat.
Visitors to the renovated aquarium at the Potsdam Natural History Museum can now observe various fish species in tanks that mimic their natural habitats. The new establishment is not only appealing to families but also provides educational opportunities for teachers, allowing them to explore the biology of aquatic animals and the ecology of water bodies more visually with their groups.
