Federal funding of a million Euros from the government could aid Potsdam's state capital in developing a city canal framework. A chunk of this cash will reportedly be channeled towards setting up water systems for urban trees, as the city administration announced on a Thursday briefing. The local administration was granted a whopping 5.25 million Euros from the federal program "Modifying urban and rural spaces for climate change adaptation". Historically, the city canal was a moat, which was buried in the 1960s. various parts of it have been reconstructed since then.
