Potential family dispute could have driven lethal shooting incident at Frankfurt Central Station.
A fifty-four-year-old individual, believed to be of Turkish origin, was taken into custody. Two guys with Turkish nationality are under suspicion. Over the past few days, numerous news sources have disseminated the supposed wrongdoer's and the victim's names. However, the prosecutor's office has chimed in, stating that some of this information is inaccurate. A viral video emerging from a security camera's feed is authentic and corresponds to the footage provided to detectives.
Preliminary investigations hint that the fifty-four-year-old man confronted the twenty-seven-year-old victim from behind and opened fire repeatedly. Regrettably, the twenty-seven-year-old, standing on a platform, succumbed to his wounds at the crime scene. Post-shooting, the fifty-four-year-old is reported to have fled the scene and discarded the firearm. However, federal law enforcement officers managed to nab him about two railway tracks away and put him in handcuffs without a fuss. The weapon was later retrieved and confiscated. Currently, the fifty-four-year-old remains in police custody.
The suspect was seen leaving the main railway station shortly before the incident. During the interrogation, the suspect mentioned that he had taken a train from the main railway station to escape the city.
