Society - "Post with a heart": Christmas campaign starts again

Even before the coronavirus pandemic, many people have suffered from loneliness - for example in care homes or on the street. To make the Christmas season a little better for them, the "Post mit Herz" campaign is back again this year.

"Once again, thousands of people are facing a lonely Christmas season: characterized by social isolation and exacerbated by additional uncertainty due to current world events," announced the organizers in Hamburg. That is why the volunteers want to bring joy to numerous people in care facilities, homeless shelters or orphanages with a loving message.

Volunteer writers can register free of charge on the campaign website from December 3. The organizers will then forward the cards and letters to the social institutions.

The volunteers from "Post mit Herz" have been involved since December 2020 and say they want to bring people closer together again. According to the organizers, the campaigns have already reached more than 360,000 people.
