The meteorological conditions in the area - Post-tornado cleanup underway in Hagen.
A ferocious wind, potentially a tornado, wreaked havoc in Hagen on Thursday. Now, cleanup efforts are underway. "The streets are clear; we just need to do a final sweep before declaring the area clean," a fire department representative stated.
In less than 10 minutes, the wind devastated a church tower's roof and upended trees. Apart from roofs and cars, the storm damaged other properties. Volunteer and professional firefighters collaborated, mobilizing 120 people to attend to the worst-hit areas - these streets were littered with roof tiles and branches. Thankfully, no one sustained any injuries.
The German Meteorological Service suspects a tornado. Their spokesperson highlighted: "It's highly probable that a tornado occurred."
