Someone has passed away after being hit by a train at Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station in Berlin. Authorities are looking into this incident as a possible murder, as they revealed on Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter). A suspect has been apprehended and currently detained by the police.

In the evening, the police were still immersed in rescue operations, as confirmed by a police representative. The rail transit services S1 and S2 at the S-Bahn station were halted. A murder task force has assumed charge of the investigation. A female passenger and the driver of the affected S-Bahn train reportedly endured a trauma. Info regarding the victim and the suspect is not yet available. The occurrence is believed to have taken place at around 2:15 p.m.
