In Hamburg, workers at the ports stopped their duties on the previous Friday, and by Tuesday, these protests spread to Bremen's Neustädter Hafen. As Verdi reported, the employers' representatives haven't presented a decent deal yet. Verdi wants several things, including a raise in hourly payments by three euros, effective since June 1st, and a proportionate enhancement to the shift premiums for the 12-month term of the collective bargaining agreement.

The Central Association of German Seaports even suggested a 2.5% salary bump or an extra 60 cents an hour, starting from June 1st. They also planned to boost the shift premiums by 24 cents to 2.50 euros. The third round of talks is planned to occur on the 17th and 18th of June in Hamburg.
