Surgery on the Moselle River - Police thwarted a right-wing extremist concert in Kröv.
The police intervened to stop a right-wing extremist concert in Kröv, Rhineland-Palatinate, on Saturday night. According to Interior Minister Michael Ebling, SPD politician, provocateurs, believed to be primarily from North Rhine-Westphalia, attempted to organize an event with extremist music and political affiliations. Ebling stressed, "There's no room for right-wing extremists in Rhineland-Palatinate."
In response to reports of banned music and potentially unconstitutional slogans, the law enforcement arrived at the private event in Kövenig district, Bernkastel-Wittlich, with a full force. Bild newspaper (Sunday) reported an estimated 70 officers were deployed.
The police dismantled the party, and, under a court order, searched the rented house where the event was occuring. Approximately twenty people were identified, and the occupants left the premises, as reported by the officers.
Several criminal investigations were launched, including use of symbols linked to unconstitutional organizations, inciting the people, and violations of the Narcotics Act. Authorities did not disclose further information when asked on Sunday.
