District of Main-Kinzig - Police suspect defect in solar system caused warehouse blaze.
About a week after a warehouse fire caused a million dollars worth of damage in the district of Main-Kinzig, police believe that a technical fault may have started the blaze. It's thought that the fire began from an electrical switchgear within the photovoltaic system on the warehouse's roof in Bad Soden-Salmünster, as stated by a police representative on Tuesday. There's no evidence of arson.
The fire caused estimated damages of around three million euros, the police said, occurring during the night between last Wednesday and Thursday. The fire was at a wholesaler for things like silk flowers, garden furniture, and decorative objects. About 140 emergency service personnel were involved in the incident, which was extinguished. The industrial area's hall was already engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived, the fire department reported.

The fire department from Hesse played a crucial role in extinguishing the warehouse fire, which is under investigation by the police in Main-Kinzig. The fault, believed to be in the solar system installed on the warehouse's roof, could potentially lead to a significant loss in the millions. Despite this, there's no indication of arson in the incident that occurred in Bad Soden-Salmünster. The blaze affected a wholesaler, dealing in items such as silk flowers, garden furniture, and decorative objects, causing damage beyond the initial million dollars reported.
