District of Cham - Police stop car with illegal firecrackers

Three teenagers and a man were caught by police on their way to Germany near Furth im Wald (district of Cham) with illegal firecrackers from the Czech Republic in their car. The 18-year-old, two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old admitted to the investigators that they had bought New Year's Eve firecrackers in the Czech Republic, as the police reported on Tuesday. The officers confiscated a total of 184 firecrackers on Saturday. The four people involved are facing criminal proceedings under the Explosives Act and the Tax Code. They will also have to pay for the disposal.
