A 13-year-old was found in possession of prohibited weapons in the Upper Lusatian town of Ebersbach-Neugersdorf on Wednesday evening. When federal police officers stopped the teenager, they discovered a knuckleduster, a butterfly knife, and a telescopic baton. Additionally, he had two fireworks and a joint on him. The items were confiscated, and the boy's details were recorded before he was handed over to his mother. Criminal police are investigating.

The federal police were not involved in the initial incident in Ebersbach-Neugersdorf, but they might be called upon for assistance in the subsequent investigation due to the nature of the prohibited weapons found. After identifying several high-profile drug busts, it was revealed that the federal police have been increasing their presence and diligence in monitoring illegal activities related to drug trafficking and weapon possession.
