Investigations - Police seize 110 kilos of banned firecrackers
During an inspection on the Autobahn 9 near Berg in Upper Franconia, the federal police seized 110 kilos of banned fireworks. According to police reports on Thursday, the 31-year-old driver had bought the firecrackers at a market in the Czech Republic and paid around 700 euros for them. The man is now being investigated for violating the Explosives Act. The law provides for prison sentences of up to three years or fines. The man must also bear the considerable costs of destroying the banned firecrackers.
