Two police officers were lightly injured by pyrotechnics in and around Karlsruhe after the EM game Turkey against Austria. A policewoman was injured in the eye by ignited firework bodies, according to the police. In Bretten, a police officer suffered from an explosion trauma.

Overall, thousands of people gathered in the area of Karlsruhe after the game. Around 1,800 people and around 400 vehicles were on the move around the Karlsruhe Europaplatz. According to the police, pyrotechnics were used in Bretten as well as in Bruchsal and Philippsburg. The officers initiated several proceedings due to violations of the Explosives Act and bodily harm.

In response to the EM game between Austria and Turkey, a large crowd convened in the vicinity of Karlsruhe. The police reported dealing with over 1,800 individuals and approximately 400 vehicles near Karlsruhe Europaplatz. Regrettably, pyrotechnics were also utilized in Bretten, causing an explosion trauma for a local police officer. Interestingly, Austria and Turkey aren't the only locations where pyrotechnics were misused during this period; police departments in Bruchsal and Philippsburg also reported similar incidents. Despite this, the police strictly enforced regulations, initiating several investigations for violations of the Explosives Act and instances of bodily harm.
