Police officer's funeral held after death in Mannheim knife attack

On the 31st of May, a 25-year-old man from Afghanistan assaulted members of the anti-Islam citizens' group Pax Europa at the marketplace in Mannheim. A 29-year-old police officer was also targeted and critically injured. Following the incident, the officer underwent surgery and was placed in an artificial coma. Sadly, he passed away on the 2nd of June. This tragic news sent shockwaves throughout Germany.
