Crime - Police officer injured in firecracker throw around volleyball match
A police officer was slightly injured by a firecracker thro wn on the sidelines of a volleyball match in Wiesbaden on Wednesday evening. As the police announced on Thursday night, firecrackers and signal flares were set off by a large group of fans. The group was on their way to the match in a sports hall, said a police spokesman. A total of 50 to 60 police officers were deployed. An investigation was opened into a violation of the Explosives Act and dangerous bodily harm.
