Police officer causes accident with three injuries
A police officer at the wheel of a patrol car has caused an accident in Ingolstadt, injuring three people. The 28-year-old officer had overlooked another car when turning during a patrol, the police announced on Monday. The police officer and his colleague as well as the 37-year-old driver of the other car were slightly injured in the collision on Sunday.
The two police officers were treated as outpatients in hospital. Both cars were towed away.
The accident in Ingolstadt, involving a police patrol car and another vehicle, led to increased traffic disruptions in the area. Upper Bavarian authorities are urging drivers to be extra cautious due to the incident and potential subsequent traffic cope mechanisms.
