Police investigate possible connection between four fires

The police are investigating whether there is a connection between four fires with an estimated damage of several hundred thousand euros. They are investigating in all directions, and political arson cannot be ruled out, a police spokeswoman said on Friday.

Munich area - Police investigate possible connection between four fires

The police are investigating whether there is a connection between four fires with an estimated damage of several hundred thousand euros. They are investigating in all directions, and political arson cannot be ruled out, a police spokeswoman said on Friday.

The first three fires were last Monday. The police are already investigating a connection between the cases. A further case has now been added to these ongoing investigations: On Friday morning, two forestry machines caught fire in Forstenrieder Park ( Munich district). No one was injured. The damage is estimated at a six-figure sum.

In the first three cases, a cable shaft on a bridge caught fire within a few hours, followed by a working machine in Forstenrieder Park and in Perlacher Forst. Nobody was injured either, according to reports. The damage was estimated to be at least 250,000 euros.
