Crash occurs. - Police interrogate onlookers following female's demise inside a garment box.
Following the discovery of a 36-year-old female's body inside a used clothing container in Peine near Hannover, police have plans to question witnesses this week. A police representative shared on Tuesday that there were still a few more inquiries to be resolved, primarily to rule out any third-party involvement. The container was confiscated after finding the woman and is now undergoing examination.
Apparently, the woman from Peine had attempted to enter the container on Sunday. Her neck had become stuck at the hatch, ultimately leading to her death, confirmed by a paramedic.
Authorities released a call for identification of the unidentified woman as they had concerns her young child may be at risk. The woman had a Caesarean section scar, about 1.5 to 4 years old. On Monday morning, it was reported that her child was safe and in the care of their Hungarian relatives.
The reason for the woman's decision to enter the container remains unclear, according to the police spokesperson. There have been similar accidents involving clothing containers in Germany before.
