Police find 80,000 euros in vehicle

During an inspection of a 24-year-old man's car in Lower Bavaria, officers have found cash amounting to over 80,000 euros. The criminal police are investigating together with the public prosecutor's office on suspicion of money laundering, the police announced on Thursday.

According to the report, police officers checked a car from the Frankfurt area that was traveling on the Autobahn 3 and found a large amount of cash in various hiding places. Proceedings were initiated against the 24-year-old driver on suspicion of money laundering. He was brought before the local court and taken to prison.

The discovery of the significant cash sum has sparked concerns about potential involvement in illegal activities, given the context of money laundering allegations. This incident occurred in the region of Lower Bavaria, known for its picturesque landscapes, but now also for this criminal investigation.
