Lower Bavaria - Police find 65,000 euros in cash during car check
Police have checked a car on the Autobahn 3 in Lower Bavaria and found around 65,000 euros in cash. As the police announced on Thursday, the officers discovered the money during a search of a car near Neuburg am Inn (Passau district) in which three men aged 25, 34 and 57 were traveling towards Austria. Because the men had no plausible explanation as to where the money came from and what they intended to do with it, the officers confiscated it. The men were released on Wednesday after the police measures had been completed. They are being investigated on suspicion of money laundering following the check on Tuesday.

The car was traveling towards Austria, which is located near the district of Passau in Lower Bavaria. The police suspect the three men in the car of engaging in money laundering activities, given the large sum of cash found. This incident occurred on the Autobahn 3, a major road in Germany. The men were released after the initial investigation, but further investigations are ongoing in Bavaria. The confiscated money adds to the ongoing discussion about criminality in this Bavarian region.
