A man was caught driving under the influence of alcohol not once, but twice in quick succession - the second time even without a driver's license. The Police Headquarters Westpfalz reported this. According to them, witnesses in a post office in Otterberg detected alcohol on the 79-year-old on Monday. The police took the man, who had a "strongly slurred speech", to the station for a blood test, where his driver's license was confiscated.

After releasing him, the man drove to his car with another vehicle to retrieve something. The man from the Kaiserslautern district now faces two charges: one for driving under the influence and another for driving without a license.
