Lärz - Police check arriving Fusion participants for drugs
The police have controlled arriving guests of the Fusion-Festival in the municipality of Lärz in the Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, among other things, for the possession of illegal drugs. During the controls that have been taking place since Wednesday, 13 criminal complaints have been filed for drug possession, the police announced on Friday.
In three further cases, the officers are investigating, among other things, for driving without a license and endangering road traffic. Additionally, 26 orders for administrative offenses have been filed for suspected driving under the influence of drugs.
According to the police, further controls during the departure of the festival participants are planned. The Fusion-Festival, which is expected to attract 70,000 visitors and is one of the largest music and cultural events in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, started on Wednesday and is supposed to last until Sunday.
