Police catch three pickpockets in one day
The Frankfurt police have solved three cases of pickpocketing. As the authorities announced on Tuesday, all three crimes occurred on Sunday. On one occasion, three men were successful with the so-called "anti-dance trick". They stole the cell phone of a 28-year-old who was able to locate his phone himself by locating it. The police were able to arrest one of the three perpetrators and return the cell phone.
In another case of pickpocketing, a 32-year-old man with no place of residence is said to have stolen a purse. According to the police, the man tried to flee on foot but was prevented from doing so by a witness. A 16-year-old is said to have committed the third theft of the day. He was observed stealing a purse from an unknown man. As he was a minor, he was handed over to the youth welfare office, according to the police.
The three pickpocketing incidents reported by the Frankfurt police took place within the RHEIN-MAIN area. Despite their efforts, the police were unable to apprehend the individuals responsible for the third crime, which involved a minor.
