In oncoming traffic - Police arrest 41-year-old man driving with drugs
A 41-year-old driver veered into oncoming traffic on the B414 in the Westerwald district while under the influence of drugs. Several oncoming vehicles had to swerve to avoid a collision on Sunday afternoon, according to police. After the dangerous journey from Müschenbach towards Hachenburg, police stopped the car during a search.
Officers noticed signs of drug use, and a roadside drug test came back positive for cocaine. A blood sample was taken from the driver, and they were prohibited from continuing to drive. The driver now faces multiple criminal charges.
The driver's actions on the B414 were due to maladjustment caused by drugs. The positive drug test result revealed the presence of cocaine in the driver's system.
