Police operation - Police: 30-year-old suffers heart attack during arrest
According to the police, a 30-year-old man collapsed and stopped breathing during his arrest in Charlottenburg. The officers had resuscitated him together with rescue workers, and a heart attack was later diagnosed in hospital, the police announced on Saturday. The reason for the arrest was that the man had been shouting and destroying bicycles in the courtyard of an apartment building on Guerickestraße. When police officers tried to arrest him, the 30-year-old initially dropped to the ground, hit out and spat in the direction of the officers, according to the police report. The man collapsed during the arrest. He is being investigated for damage to property and resisting law enforcement officers.
