Melodies, H2O, and Radiance - Plant and floral illuminations induced by water and light captivate visitors
Groovy Tunes, vibrant lights, dancing fountains: The usual water-light shows at Hamburg's Park Planten un Blomen have lured in countless spectators since May. "Things are going great," a rep from the Hamburg-Mitte district office shared with DPA. "On nice days, we see a good crowd for the water-light shows every night, even weekdays and weekends." The free late-night event still pulls in guests even in the rain.
The water-light show starts at 10 PM until the end of August, but it kicks off at 9 PM from September 1st to the season finale on September 30th. "Visitors love the chill and carefree vibe, the mix of performances, and the freedom to drop by spontaneously," the rep said. People watch the artfully designed display on park benches or spread out on blankets, often with drinks and phones in hand.
Two new shows, "Japan After Dark" and "Fusion Classics", funded by the Planten un Blomen Friends Group, have joined the lineup, as the Hamburg-Mitte district office announced. "Luckily, only one concert in July had to be halted due to a bomb threat investigation."
The music from the water-light shows at Park Planten un Blomen adds to the enjoyable atmosphere, attracting many visitors. After the success of "Japan After Dark" and "Fusion Classics", music continues to be an integral part of the new shows.
