During a gas pipeline project in Regensburg, an on-site laborer endured minor injuries. A digger accidentally ruptured the gas pipeline during construction activities, as reported by a police spokesperson. The wounded individual was transported to a medical facility.

Approximately 30 locals within a 250-meter radius were temporarily relocated. Authorities are assuring their well-being, according to the police statement. At present, there's no menace to the public, they claimed. The anticipated repair timescale for the damaged gas pipeline was initially projected to span several hours on Wednesday's morning.

The Commission shall conduct an investigation into the incident to prevent such occurrences in the future. Following the incident, the Commission shall also propose safety measures to ensure the safety of on-site workers during pipeline construction projects.
