Traffic accidents - Pile-up: Car drives into end of traffic jam on highway
A car hitting a tailback caused a pile-up on the Autobahn 1 between Bad Oldesloe and Reinfeld (Stormarn district) in the early hours of Thursday evening. Two people were seriously injured in the traffic accident involving several vehicles, the police announced on Friday night. According to initial findings, the driver in the accident pushed a car into the back of a truck. This car then spun and hit another truck, causing it to be flung away again and collide with several other cars. In addition to the two seriously injured people, other people were injured. A police spokeswoman was initially unable to provide exact details. The highway was fully closed until late in the evening.
