Philosophy-Dedicated Event - Phil.Cologne discusses the Middle East conflict.

In Cologne, the biggest German philosophy festival, Phil.Cologne, starts on Tuesday (5:00 pm). It commences with a conversation between the Israeli sociologist Natan Sznaider and writer Navid Kermani about the events in Israel and Gaza. These topics continue throughout other events as well. For instance, the former Israeli ambassador to Germany, Avi Primor, will talk about Israel's warfare against Hamas and whether the conflict could possibly be resolved peacefully. Furthermore, the French-Israeli sociologist Eva Illouz, who is known for being critical of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will share her opinions on the situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip, along with the rising antisemitism.

With a total of 40 events scheduled, Phil.Cologne runs until June 18th.
