Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly plans plant in Rhineland-Palatinate
According to a report, the US pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly is planning a production site in Rhineland-Palatinate. A single-digit billion sum is to be invested in a new plant, reported the Springer Group's "Business Insider" on Thursday. Details are to be announced on Friday in Berlin together with Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) and Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens). According to Business Insider, Eli Lilly intends to manufacture a new weight loss product at the plant.
A meeting with Rhineland-Palatinate Minister-President Malu Dreyer (SPD) and Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt (FDP) has been announced for Friday in Alzey, Rhineland-Palatinate, to discuss an upcoming settlement in an expanded industrial area. According to circles from the Rhineland-Palatinate state government, this will involve Eli Lilly. The company itself initially declined to comment on the matter on Thursday.
The Springer Group's "Business Insider" reported that a significant investment in Pharmaceuticals will be made by Eli Lilly, with plans to manufacture a new weight loss product. Given the substantial investment, it's not surprising that Eli Lilly's strategies for Pharmaceuticals investments are attracting interest from political figures, such as the announcement of a meeting with Rhineland-Palatinate Minister-President Malu Dreyer and Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt.
