Handball - Petter Överby extends his contract with THW Kiel
Petter Överby has extended his contract with record handball champions THW Kiel until June 30, 2026. The club made the announcement on Thursday on the sidelines of the Champions League match against Kolstad Handball (26:25). "He is an exemplary fighter who always puts the team's success before his personal success. He can dish it out, but he can also take a lot. Petter brings stability, experience and ambition to our game," said THW coach Filip Jicha of the 31-year-old Norwegian international, who contributed two goals to the victory over his compatriots on Thursday.
The pivot was also happy about the extension of his contract: "It's a great honor to be able to play for THW Kiel. And working with the boys is just great," said Överby, who came to Kiel from HC Erlangen in 2022.
