Suspect caught - Petrol station robberies in MV probably solved
Following a series of petrol station robberies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, police caught a suspect in the act on Thursday night. The 28-year-old had been about to rob a petrol station in Ribnitz-Damgarten on Wednesday evening when officers arrested the man, the police announced on Thursday. Intensive criminal investigation led the officers on the trail of the man and a 26-year-old accomplice. The man from Rostock is said to be responsible for eight robberies at petrol stations in the past few days. The "Ostseewelle Hit-Radio Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" had previously reported. During his robberies, he allegedly threatened the employees with a pistol and stole money and cigarettes. He was also wearing a mask. No one was injured.

The suspect, linked to eight petrol station robberies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, reportedly used a pistol to threaten employees and steal cigarettes alongside cash. The 26-year-old from Rostock was apprehended at a filling station in Ribnitz-Damgarten, following an intensive investigation by the police. Despite the criminal activities, no one was injured during the robberies.
