Football Match Coming Up - Peter Neururer returns as coach for individuals lacking a professional team.
Peter Neururer, a coach with many years of experience in the Bundesliga, will be leading the VdV Camp for professional footballers without contracts for the seventh time this summer. This camp, organized by the players' union Vereinigung der Vertragsfußballspieler, gives players a chance to train and play in test matches before the start of the season, helping them secure new jobs. According to the union, more than 80% of the attendees find a new club.
This year's camp begins on July 2nd at the Sportschule Wedau. The first test match is set for July 9th against FC Guetersloh, a team in the Regionalliga. Neururer is joined by two former Bundesliga players, Karsten Hutwelker and Thorsten Albustin, who are also part of the coaching staff.
