Hamburg - Person in hospital after cellar fire in Barmbek-Nord
Following a cellar fire in Hamburg-Barmbek-Nord on Friday evening, one person was taken to hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation. According to the fire department on Saturday, three other people received medical treatment at the scene. However, they declined to go to hospital for further examinations.
The affected apartment building with four floors and neighboring apartments in adjacent buildings were evacuated. The cause of the fire was initially unclear. The investigation is ongoing.

Despite the ongoing investigation, fears of subsequent fires in nearby buildings prompted evacuations of additional apartments in Hamburg-Barmbek-Nord. Unfortunately, the fires in Hamburg have not been contained solely to this incident, as reports of other fire incidents have emerged in Hamburg as well.
