Bundesliga - Perfect: Talent Uzun receives five-year contract in Frankfurt
Top-Talent Can Uzun has switched from 2. FC Nürnberg to Eintracht Frankfurt. The 18-year-old signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2029, as the Hessian Football-Bundesligist announced.
"Can Uzun is one of the greatest talents in Germany. We are happy that he decided for us despite many interesting offers from all over Europe," said Sportvorstand Markus Krösche: "He has exceptional skills for his age. We showed him our clear plan and convinced him with that."
The transfer fee is reportedly at eleven million Euros, which sum could rise to 14 million Euros through success-related bonus payments. "Eintracht Frankfurt is the perfect station for me and my further development. I am very much looking forward to the new challenge," said Uzun.
Last season, he was a regular player for 1. FC Nürnberg and scored a total of 19 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 league games, putting him among the top scorers in the second league. However, there was confusion as to why he was not called up to the Turkish national team squad for the European Championship in Germany.
