At a dispute between two groups at a swimming pool car park in Maintal, Main-Kinzig-District, more than a dozen bystanders have been injured by tear gas. The police reported on Friday that after the incident on Thursday afternoon, more than ten people had to be treated by the rescue services for respiratory and eye irritations. Two further persons were taken to hospitals. According to the police, the quarrelers were a group of approximately ten male persons aged between 15 and 18, who had argued with around five men in apparent ages between 20 and 25.

Witness statements suggest that one of the quarrelers had pulled out a knife, after which the parties involved are said to have fled on foot, only in swimming trunks.
