- Pending announcement of the inaugural session of the newly appointed parliament

After the Thuringian region's recent political election, there's still no clarity on when the parliament will resume its operations in its fresh composition. A representative from the state parliament's administration, who spoke with the German Press Agency, confirms there's no set date as of now. The date for the inaugural meeting will be decided by the parliament president, in conjunction with the various political groups.

Citing Article 50 of the state constitution, the spokesperson noted that members must be invited at least a week before the constitutive session. Consequently, the latest possible date for sending out invitations is September 24. Since the state parliament is required to convene within 30 days following an election, and the deadline falls on October 1, any later assembly would breach this rule.

Recent whispers from sources within the state parliament suggest that it's highly probable that the parliament will assemble between September 23 and October 1.

The announcement of the Landtag's resumption date is anticipated to be made within the suggested range, between September 23 and October 1. Once convened, the parliament will adhere to the constitution's Article 50, inviting its members at least a week before the constitutive session.
