An 80-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Obertshausen (Offenbach district) on Monday morning. According to police reports, the 44-year-old driver failed to see the elderly man as he attempted to reverse out of a parking spot. The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. A forensic expert is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crash. Witnesses are urged to contact the police.

The accident occurred in the Offenbach district, specifically in Obertshausen, which is part of the German state of Hessen. The driver involved in the incident is a resident of Hessen as well.
