Stade - Pedestrian identified after fatal accident

The pedestrian who was killed after falling under a bus in Stade has been identified. It is a 25-year-old man, as the police announced on Friday. The accident occurred on Thursday in an industrial estate. According to reports, the pedestrian had suddenly turned around and jumped directly in front of the approaching bus. Despite braking immediately, the 68-year-old bus driver was unable to prevent the accident. The fire department was only able to recover the 25-year-old dead. It was still unclear on Friday why the man had jumped onto the road. The police investigation is ongoing.
