Accidents - Pedestrian hit by car in Saalfeld and seriously injured
A 64-year-old female pedestrian has been hit by a car and seriously injured in Saalfeld (Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district). The woman was crossing a crosswalk on Saalstraße on Thursday afternoon, as the police reported on Friday. A 54-year-old man hit the woman with his car as he was turning. Rescue workers took the injured woman to hospital for inpatient treatment. The 54-year-old was reportedly uninjured. It was unclear in the morning exactly how the accident happened.
