- Pedestrian hit by car and dies
A 59-year-old pedestrian was struck by the vehicle of an 80-year-old man on a street in Viernheim and later died from his injuries. As the police reported, the 59-year-old was seriously injured and taken to a hospital after the accident on Saturday afternoon. He died there on Monday night. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing. At the request of the public prosecutor's office, an expert has been appointed.
The 80-year-old man was driving his car when it hit the pedestrian on the street. The car involved in the accident was transporting the injured pedestrian to the hospital.
